I love owls, and keep revisiting them in my work.

Limited edition of 45, the first 20 prints formed part of the @im_printed print exchange, based on the theme ‘connection’.

8x8 inches and ready to slot into a frame.

Printed onto Fabriano Tiepolo paper, which is 100% cotton, and has four torn 'deckled' edges. This paper is 130gsm, and has a nice, neaaarly gossamer quality to it!

Three different coloured inks (blue, grey and black) have been layered together using three separate hand-carved blocks of lino. Every print has been lovingly hand printed, and therefore some small variations may be noticeable - every print is unique!

This print was created for the sixth Imprinted (@im_printed on instagram) International Print Exchange. 39 other printmakers and me were given the theme of 'Connection', and this print is my contribution.

I chose to look at the connections between animals, spirituality and the moon/earth. I ended up settling on totem animals, and chose the owl for it's wisdom, intuition, insight and transition. The three owls are all connected together in their positioning in the image, emerging from the night sky/moon behind them and suspended above the earth beneath them.

I also happen to be very fond of owls, and there is one that sits in the tree in my garden and 'hoots' me to sleep!
